ASPECT/Alliance Consultation Summary Report

On June 12, 2008, over 130 service providers came together in Richmond, BC, for a one-day conference hosted by the Association of Service Providers and Career Training (ASPECT) and the BC Workforce & Career Development Alliance (Alliance). We have put together a consultation summary report from this forum which you can find here.

Facilities Status & Office Addresses

Open Space Report & Provincial Pay

We have posted the open space report from the Labour Market Services Forum held on June 24th and 25th. Click here to visit the forums page to check it out. The courtyard cafe report is almost finished, and will be up soon.

A provincial pay calendar has also been posted under the Service Canada Staff Questions Answered section. It details the pay schedule for provincial employees.

On June 24 and 25th, the Labour Market Services Forum welcomed over 200 Service Canada staff from across the province. You can find information regarding the forum here. Summary reports for both the Open Space and Courtyard Cafe will be posted in the near future.

In follow up to many Service Canada questions regarding salary conversion, we have put together some examples with the classification conversion chart overiew.

Public Service Pension Plan
Comparison Chart

Please find the Public Service Pension Plan Comparision Chart which compares BC's Public Service Pension Plan (PSPP) to Federal Service Canada's Public Service Superannuation Act (PSSA).

We have posted the first set of questions and answers from you input in Your Questions Answered. Head on over to have a look at what we've been hearing, and please keep sending us your questions. We will be posting more in upcoming weeks.

We have also posted additional Public Service Pension Plan information including question and answers around transferring pension credits. You can find them under the Public Service Pension Plan links beneath the Quick Links.

Employee Transfer Agreement

The Employee Transfer Agreement (ETA), as part of the Labour Market Development Agreement between Canada and B.C., was signed. The ETA is an important part of the LMDA Transition as it details the conditions of employment for Service Canada staff transferring to the provincial government.
