Employment Assistance Services
for Job Seekers
Employment Assistance Services help unemployed individuals prepare for, obtain and maintain employment. Employment Assistance Services provide employment services for unemployed individuals who are Canadian citizens or permanent residents, and are legally entitled to work in British Columbia.
Program Objective
Services available through Employment Assistance Services include: development of a Return to Work Action Plan, sharing labour market information, job search skills, employment counseling, job placement services, case management and follow-up of a participant in an employment program.
Eligibility Information
Who is eligible?
Employment Assistance Services are available to all unemployed persons who are entitled to work in Canada and are willing and able to actively participate in the labour market.
Certain services have specific eligibility requirements – for example, job seekers may need to be eligible for Employment Insurance.How can I get more information?

Enquiry BC is a provincial call centre that provides services to all British Columbia residents, on behalf of provincial government ministries, Crown corporations and public agencies.
