The Employment and Labour Market Services Branch at the Ministry of Social Development provides assistance via EI Part II programs to eligible employers, in the form of subsidies that help with human resource requirements, and offset labour force adjustments.

For Employers, programs include Labour Market Partnerships and Targeted Wage Subsidies.

Targeted Wage Subsidies

Provides employers with financial assistance towards wages of eligible individuals whom they hire, encouraging the hiring of eligible individuals they would not normally hire in the absence of subsidy.

Labour Market Partnerships

Provides financial assistance to organizations to encourage, support and facilitate labour force adjustments and human resource planning activities which are in the public interest.

Job Creation Partnerships

An employment program that works with community organizations to deliver job specific projects that create workplace-based training for eligible individuals.
