      <title>Service Canada Centres for Youth</title>
	  	<description>
		Effective January 31, 2012 new online features were introduced for youth.  With the implementation of the enhanced online features on &lt;a href='http://www.youth.gc.ca' target='_blank'&gt;http://www.youth.gc.ca&lt;/a&gt;, services previously offered in person at seasonal Service Canada Centres for Youth  (SCCY) are transitioning to an online model.  These seasonal centres will no longer be established each year.

      <title>Centre for Employment Excellence – RFP Posted</title>
	  	<description>A Request for Proposals (RFP) - ELMS-102 has been posted to BC Bid
    inviting proposals for an agency to design and operate a Centre for Employment Excellence that will provide services for the Employment Services Sector and Employers. The selected Proponent will:&lt;br&gt;
    &lt;br&gt;
  &lt;ul&gt;
    &lt;li&gt; Consult with stakeholders;&lt;/li&gt;
	&lt;li&gt; Conduct research and development;&lt;/li&gt;
	&lt;li&gt; Develop a website;&lt;/li&gt;
	&lt;li&gt; Offer resources, training, and technical assistance;&lt;/li&gt;
	&lt;/ul&gt;
	The closing date for this RFP is March 26, 2012.&lt;br&gt;
	The work is anticipated to begin in April 2012.&lt;br&gt;

      <title>Employment Program of BC: Recruitment of External Advisory Panels</title>
	  	<description>The Ministry of Social Development is establishing two External Advisory Panels to review the new Employment Program of BC’s performance and results, and recommend innovative changes to enhance or improve the program. An External Advisory Panel will monitor the overall program. An Expert Advisory Panel on Specialized Populations will monitor the program from the perspective of eight specialized populations: people with disabilities, immigrants, Francophones, multi-barriered clients, survivors of violence and/or abuse, Aboriginal peoples, rural and remote populations, and youth. Recruitment is being managed by the government’s Board Resourcing and Development Office.&lt;br&gt;

      <title>Request for Proposal</title>
	  	<description>A Request for Proposals (RFP) - ELMS-101   has been posted to &lt;a href='http://www.bcbid.gov.bc.ca/' target='_blank'&gt;BC Bid&lt;/a&gt; which invites proposals for  the provision of services associated with designing, developing and  implementing training products for Service Providers who will deliver the  services and supports for the new Employment Program of BC. The selected  Proponent will be working closely and collaboratively with the Change and  Training Team to: &lt;br&gt;
    &lt;br&gt;
  &lt;ul&gt;
    &lt;li&gt; Conduct a  learning needs assessment with a sampling of the Service Providers;&lt;/li&gt;
    &lt;li&gt; Develop  interactive and creative virtual classroom and interactive e-learning products  to provide training on the new service delivery model and the supporting  technology tools;&lt;/li&gt;
    &lt;li&gt; Build  instructor-led learning materials; and,&lt;/li&gt;
    &lt;li&gt;Build  job-aids and/or reference tools that will support the Service Providers to  deliver the Program services and supports.&lt;/li&gt;
    &lt;li&gt;the &lt;b&gt;closing date for this RFP is September 20, 2011&lt;/b&gt;.&lt;/li&gt;
  &lt;/ul&gt;
		This  work is anticipated to begin in September 2011 and end by September 30, 2012.

      <title>Notice to Vendors</title>
	  	<description>Notice is hereby given by the Ministry that &lt;b&gt;RFP # ELMS-004&lt;/b&gt; with respect to the Catchment Areas of &lt;b&gt;Lillooet&lt;/b&gt;, &lt;br /&gt;&lt;b&gt;Haida Gwaii&lt;/b&gt;, and &lt;b&gt;Fort Nelson&lt;/b&gt; is now cancelled as there are no successful Proponents from the competition. The Province must implement a process to secure services in these Catchment Areas in order to ensure that the Program is fully implemented throughout the Province as of April 2, 2012.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
			Any vendor wishing to be considered must submit, in writing, an expression of interest (2 pages maximum) that demonstrates eligibility and commitment as per the Notice to Vendors on BC Bid.       <title>Payment Structure and Financial Model Information Sessions</title>
	  	<description>The Ministry will hold six information sessions (one in each of the five regions and a sixth via webcast) to further assist Proponents in understanding the Employment Program of British Columbia’s payment structure and financial model.  The objectives of these sessions are:
				
&lt;ul&gt;
&lt;li&gt;To provide a comprehensive overview of the payment structure and financial model for the Employment Program of British Columbia;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;To demonstrate how and why the Ministry developed these models; and,&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;To increase Service Providers’ understanding of the models.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ul&gt;
