The Ministry of Housing and Social Development (MHSD) is pleased to announce that the Contact IV Automated File Transfer (CIV AFT) service is now operational. This is an automated process to transfer Contact IV Export Files to MHSD for subsequent editing and upload. If you are an EAS provider but do not provide case management services, please disregard this communication.

In an effort to provide a more efficient and secure means of transferring Contact IV export files, the Ministry is now able to receive Contact IV files electronically from EAS Service Providers. CIV AFT is now the preferred method for transferring files because it improves security. If for some reason the electronic transfer service is unavailable for an extended period of time, the Ministry will accept a CD containing client data in a double sealed envelope sent by a bonded courier to your local Employment and Labour Market Services (ELMS) office.

CIV AFT consists of a single web-based screen that will be used to securely send a Contact IV Export File directly to your local ELMS office via the internet. The application is focused solely on the file transfer process. Contact IV case management functionality is not affected.
